Backing Tracks

If you have ever sung in front of an audience you will be aware that you want to know at all times that the backing you are singing to gives you the best platform for your voice. It has to clearly demarcate where in the song you are and give you ques for when you must come in. A performer listens for rhythmic and tonal changes and musical figures (fills) to follow a backing track.
